Yarn:

Sheng Tang Fang Zhi Millk Cotton 5 ply

any DK yarn also works well.

These are the colors i used.


 Right coaster:

 center: golden yellow

 petals: orange

 background: amethyst purple

 border: light yellow


 Left coaster:

 center: light yellow

 petals: flamingo pink

 background: matcha green

 border: golden yellow



Notes:

This pattern is worked in the round and uses US terms. 3 dc means 3 dc in the next st, and dc 3 means 1 dc in the next 3 sts.

Abbreviations


ch - chain

sl st - slip stitch

sc - single crochet

hdc - half double crochet

dc - double crochet

tr - treble crochet

beg - beginning 

rev sc - reverse single crochet/ crab stitch

st(s) - stitch(es)

Instructions

rnd 1

Make a magic ring using the center color. Ch 2 (doesn't count as a st), 10 hdc in ring. sl st in first hdc (not beg ch 2) End off. 

rnd 2

Join petal color in any hdc. ⭑In next hdc, sl st, sc, hdc, 3 dc, hdc, sc, sl st. sl st in next hdc. Make sure you do not skip sts because the petals take up a lot of space. Repeat from⭑ around. (5 petals) End off. 

rnd 3 (all stitches are worked in the back post)

Join background color in 2nd dc of any 3 dc around.⭑sc in next dc. hdc, dc. Tr around hdc of rnd 1. Dc in sc, hdc, sc, sl st, Repeat from⭑around. Do not end off. sl st in first sl st (60 sts, 12 per petal)

rnd 4

Ch 3 (doesn't count as a st.). ⭑2 dc, dc 2 in next st. Repeat from⭑around. Sl st in first dc (not in beg ch 3.) End off. (80 dc)

rnd 5

Join border color in any dc. Rev sc around. End off and weave in ends.
